You are fully in control of your dating schedule. If you’re busy this week, there’s no need to opt-in—simply wait until you are free.

To ensure our team and unique matching process have enough time to find your most compatible partner, the opt-in deadline is Tuesday at 11:00 pm.

Once you confirm, our matchmakers review your preferences, compatibility scores, and profile to handpick someone truly aligned with your values and goals. You decide when you’re ready to date, and we handle the rest!

Get Your Match on Thursday

Once you opt-in, our team and unique matching process get to work! Every Thursday, you will be notified via the firstdate app or website if you have a date for the upcoming weekend.

If you receive a match, the virtual video date is automatically scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 pm.

Once your match notification is sent, we immediately update your “Date List” with key information about your date ensuring you are prepared and excited for your date on Saturday night.

Chat / Video Date / Meet

When Saturday night arrives, your date is ready! Simply log into the firstdate app or website just before 7:30 pm and follow the on-screen prompts to begin your virtual video date.

Once your video chat is complete, you’ll be asked a simple but important question: Did you click?

You will privately indicate whether you would like to continue communicating with your match.

If both of you say yes, it’s a match! You’ll instantly unlock continued communication with that person.

You can then send text messages or initiate additional phone/video calls right here on the firstdate platform, giving you a safe and private space to connect further before you decide to move your dating life offline.
